The proposed projects have H-numbers
Large H-series designations are printed across the sheet, giving the proposed corridors a project index that can be followed around the region.
The mid-cities network is prominent
Blue-highlighted corridors gather around the airport and connect the Dallas and Fort Worth sides. The archived account specifically notes the cancelled mid-cities freeway.
The legend separates several project stages
Existing roads, improvements, new construction and right-of-way or staged construction use different line patterns on the map.

Dallas/Fort Worth Freeway Planning Map, 1978
The 1978 plan is similar to the plan that is currently in effect (the Mobility 2025 plan). However, the 1978 plan includes the cancelled mid-cities freeway, the full length of the River Freeway, and still does not include freeway improvements that have actually been built..
