LOOK CLOSER / EDITORIAL NOTES

Find it on the map.

  1. Dallas gets the densest web

The central Dallas side is crossed by closely spaced red freeway lines. The archived account calls out this density directly.

  2. Two proposed north–south routes sit east of Dallas

The archive description points to a pair of north–south freeways on the city’s east side, separate from the routes converging on downtown.

  3. The Plano loop is easy to trace

North of Dallas, the recommended network forms a large loop around Plano and reconnects with the radial freeway system.

A proposed 1985 regional system

The sheet is a plan, not a completion record. Its legend separates existing or designated freeways from recommended corridors, while the archived account points readers to several proposed routes that stand out in the Dallas half of the map.
