Interstate 10, San Antonio

Cutting a crazy path through San Antonio Interstate 10 is a major east-west transportation artery for the south. Just north of downtown San Antonio is the double deck section of interstate 10. The double decking, completed in the late 1980's, added six elevated lanes to the existing 4-lane freeway below. Of Texas' 4 double decked freeways, this is probably the "best" one, considering size, length, and design characteristics.
