IH-410 North Loop, San Antonio

Created and last updated July 9, 2001

San Antonio's north loop was originally completed in the early to mid 1960's as, detailed in a November 1963 Texas Highways magazine article. Originally four lanes, it was later expanded to 6 lanes. Now, this section of IH-410 is being expanded to 10 lanes. Stacks are being added at the intersections with IH-10 and US 281. All work should be complete around 2005 or 2006.

A stack will rise at this location within a few years. Notice the unused pavement on IH-410.
