Old Road Maps of San Antonio

Created and last updated 09-July-2004. (Added 1889, 1900 & 1909 Street Maps)

Due to high detail, maps have very large digital images.

1889 Shows streets by name, lots and blocks by number, the San Antonio River, public buildings, U.S. government property, districts, and railroad lines. There are concentric circles drawn from the center at one half mile intervals. The map is framed by advertisements.

1930 Shows streets, blocks, public and private institutions, parks, cemeteries, the river, railroads, the original city limits, and subdivisions.

The 1961 map shows only 3 freeways with major segments completed: IH-35, IH-10, and Loop 410. Large sections of IH-10 and IH-35 are under construction.
