Stack construction at US59/Beltway 8 North

Last updated 13-March-2002

Project Beltway 8 main lanes and one direct connector, eastbound BW8 to northbound US 59
Cost $35.8 million
Begin Q4 1999

This section of Beltway 8 is a freeway, not a tollway, and the new Beltway 8 main lanes will be free. In the long term, a full stack is planned at this location. This project includes only one direct connector. The remaining connectors will be added over the next 10-15 years.

Construction location: US59/BW8

This schematic view shows the planned 5-level stack at BW8 and US 59. In 2001, the BW8 main lanes and 1 direct connector are under construction.
