Austin's 1962 transportation plan proposed a network of freeways for inner Austin. These plans were re-affirmed by The Austin Development Plan: Expressway and Major Arterial Plan, which was adopted by the Austin City Council on April 24, 1969. The 1969 document provides more details on plans for the freeways, including typical cross sections for the freeways.
